Remembered/Cruelty/Preserving Secrets/Storm Breaking/Nothing Needed

Title: Remembered
Fandom: Harry Potter ~ General Series ~ My Big Damn Table
Pairing, etc: Remus and Peter
Prompt: 53 ~ Earth
Word Count: 100 on the nose
Rating: PG
Author's Notes: Originally written for the elements challenge at HP100.

How will you be remembered?

Will you be remembered as the boyhood friend who took a few wrong turns and ended up with a bad crowd? Will you be remembered as a backstabbing coward who sold out your friends, all for fear and greed? Will you be remembered at all?

How will you be remembered?

Remus knelt at Peter’s grave, clearing away debris, watering the earth with his tears. No one remembered that it was Peter who told Harry how to defeat Voldemort, no one remembered that Peter died to save Harry.

No one wanted to.

No one, except Remus.

Title: Cruelty
Fandom: Harry Potter ~ General Series ~ My Big Damn Table
Pairing, etc: Bellatrix
Prompt: 52 ~ Fire
Word Count: 100 on the nose
Rating: PG
Author's Notes: Originally written for the elements challenge at HP100.

Cruelty takes many forms. A sandwich given to a starving child only prolongs death, a slower burn. Senseless violence, a man dies, a flame extinguished. A hand extended in aid turns into the branding hand of the master.

Bellatrix knows all these forms. Some she did, some done to her.

Some forgiven, none forgotten. Her skin burned in remembrance.

Incarcerated, she wrapped herself in a mantle of cruelty, befriending the enemy.

Long forgotten pain renewed, the Dark Mark burned, and Bellatrix smiled. The world had never seen this form of cruelty; hope turning to ash in a firestorm of rebirth.

Title: Preserving Secrets
Fandom: Harry Potter ~ General Series ~ My Big Damn Table
Pairing, etc: Ginny and Draco
Prompt: 54 ~ Air
Word Count: 100 on the nose
Rating: PG
Author's Notes: What can I say? The fight is staged. Originally written for the elements challenge at HP100.

Carefully timed, they met in the Great Hall. “Raggedy Anne.” He said loudly, smirking when she flushed crimson.

She hated it when he called her that.

The next time he walked by her, he intentionally jostled her elbow, spilling her pumpkin juice.

She stewed.

He got the reaction he wanted when he dumped an entire bowl of porridge over her head, “I hate you, Malfoy!” She shrieked, leaping to her feet, flinging porridge at him, “I hate the very air you breathe!”

Much later, they met in their sanctuary of shadows, urgent apologies giving way to violent passion, secrets preserved.

Title: Storm Breaking
Fandom: Harry Potter ~ General Series ~ My Big Damn Table
Pairing, etc: Ginny and Draco (or Harry)
Prompt: 51 ~ Water
Word Count: 100 on the nose
Rating: PG
Author's Notes: Water represented here. If it's Draco, he is dealing with his father's imprisonment and, if it's Harry, he is wrestling with the idea of killing Voldemort. See! Bases covered *G* Originally written for the elements challenge at HP100.

Rain sheeted down, a hard November rain, bearing a hint of snow. When she found him, he was soaked, up on the Astronomy tower, watching the storm.

Ginny ached to see him this way; shivering, frail, and alone. Touching his shoulder, she sat down beside him, sharing her heat. “Do you want to talk?”

“No.” The pale skin under his eyes looked bruised, turned blue by the cold, “I don’t.” With a strangled sob, he buried his face in her hair. Ginny just held him tight, rocking slightly.

He would never let anyone see him cry. Least of all her.

Title: Nothing Needed
Fandom: Harry Potter ~ General Series ~ My Big Damn Table
Pairing, etc: Hermione
Prompt: 55 ~ Spirit
Word Count: 100 on the nose
Rating: PG
Author's Notes: I love this one...I hope you do too. Originally written for the elements challenge at HP100.

Dragging her broken body over to his side, Hermione ignored pain, desperate to reach him, digging her nails bloody. An eternity later, she looked at the man lying prone, seeing only the boy she loved. She might have screamed, for certain, she passed out because she remembered nothing else before waking in St. Mungos.

A pair of green eyes, haunted like her own, found hers across a busy hospital ward. Nothing was said, nothing needed to be said. Gently, Harry held her as she cried; both glad to be alive, both hating themselves for it.

And somewhere, a spirit smiled.

Wow, you mamge to say so much in such a short fic, it`s amazing how it makes me feel like I`m there too, wonderful.

For the Water one, I somehow get mroe of a Harry feeling form it seeing as Harry often watches the rain, it`s often shown in the movies (can`t remember if it`s in the books too), he sits in the dormitory at the window and watches the rain, so it fits with him. As well as ihs eyes, Harry`s eyes are mentioned far more than draco`s eyes.

(I only read the last 3)

Wow, thanks, I appreciate the time you took for the R&R.

As for number 3, I wrote it thinking Draco and it ended up working for either one so I just left it open.
