Prompt: Rain - 66 (Originally written for the Me, Myself, and I challenge at
Word Count: 100 sez Bill
Rating: G - implied death
Author's Notes: Where do you go with your emotions after a death?
I remember the last train ride I took back from Hogwarts. I remember being in the car, listening to the clack, clack, clack of the train on the rails. I remember watching the rain sheet down on the windows. I remember the horrid numbness that had no room for tears yet.
I remember my friends descending on me to ‘cheer me up’.
I remember screaming at them to leave me alone before threatening to hex them all to hell and back again. I remember leaning my head on the icy glass, wishing that I could be as cold as you.
Title: Insanity Rising
Fandom: Harry Potter ~ General Series ~ My Big Damn Table
Pairing, etc: Sirius specifically
Prompt: Sound - 37 (Originally written for the Pound challenge at
Word Count: 100 sez Bill
Rating: G
Author's Notes: Kinda dark.
Locked in hell, he counted the stones, the bars on the window, the incessant surges of the tide below, the prisoners, cataloging each sound.
One of them ranted. One of them screamed. One of them muttered curses in seven different languages.
Sirius pressed his head against the bars, listening as the night shadows fell across his cell. There was something new tonight…someone was pounding his fists into the walls. Or maybe this was just a new form of insanity, a new low to sink to, by one of the other prisoners.
He never noticed his hands were covered in blood…
Title: Padfoot Returns?
Fandom: Harry Potter ~ General Series ~ My Big Damn Table
Pairing, etc: Harry
Prompt: Summer - 63 (Originally written for the choose your own adventure challenge at
Word Count: 100 sez Bill
Rating: G
Author's Notes: This was a fun challenge; you took a chapter out of the books and wrote a drabble based on the title. This was written for Chapter 27, Goblet of Fire, Padfoot Returns
On the train ride back to King’s Cross Station, Harry swore that he saw a black dog running along side the train.
At the store with Petunia, there was a black dog sitting outside the car…
…at the zoo entrance…
…in the playground…
…and at the entrance to Diagon Alley.
Harry wondered, repeatedly, as he kept seeing the black dog all over, if he was going crazy.
Finally, as the sweat-drenched days of summer ended, Harry decided enough was enough and approached the first black dog he came across. The black dog, in a vicious and unprovoked attack, bit Harry.
Title: Aftermath
Fandom: Harry Potter ~ General Series ~ My Big Damn Table
Pairing, etc: Draco, Ginny, Harry mentioned
Prompt: Strangers - 25 (Originally written for the swollen challenge at
Word Count: 100 sez Bill
Rating: G
Author's Notes: Warning, character death. The start of the theme I seem to be writing lately. Angsty as hell. A part of my 'A Parting Gift' way longer fic I'm drabbling together so don't be surprised if you see this material again *G*
Gingerly, Ginny rubbed a hand over her swollen eyes and dragged herself out of the mud where she had fallen in the battle. Walking over to where Harry lay, Ginny gathered the tattered remains of her courage and looked at the Boy Who Lived.
The Boy Who Lived No Longer.
A comforting hand wrapped round her waist. Draco appeared in her field of vision, strangely familiar in the aftermath. "Hush, Ginny, I’ve got you."
Dimly, Ginny realized the agonized screams she heard were coming from her mouth and she collapsed into a heap, trusting Draco to take care of her.

Fandom: Harry Potter ~ General Series ~ My Big Damn Table
Pairing, etc: Alice and Neville Longbottom
Prompt: Years - 10 (Originally written for the summer break challenge at
Word Count: 100 sez Bill
Rating: G
Author's Notes: God, do I write some angst!
The St. Mungos’ staff learned, in the past fifteen years, that Alice seemed to perk up as summer approached. This particular summer, Alice shocked them all when she called Neville by his first name.
It’s too soon to tell.
Neville returned again and again, overjoyed to see his mother’s eyes light up at his approach.
It is a good sign, yes.
Alice improved and began to carry on real conversations with her son, started her rehabilitation...
Wait and see.
Finally, Neville had to return to school. On the anniversary of the attack, Alice woke up screaming and never spoke again.

I only read 'memories'. It was so powerful that I backed away from the rest to enjoy the lingering sensation a bit longer.
Very, very good

Memories is one of my personal favorites - it's one of the very rare 'perfect' ones.
