Claire Kincaid couldn’t believe what was happening. Her relatively new boss, Jack McCoy, was about to change into blue jeans and a blue oxford in his office. With her in it.

He is. My God. He’s actually changing his clothes with me in here…

Alright, so he did go behind the door and kind of stay there, but still. After the whole thing with Judge Thayer… And she thought she’d made it clear when she met with him after he was transferred to her section of the District Attorney’s office and requested her that she would work for him and nothing else.

And yet…

And yet she found herself falling for him. Falling hard.

One night, not too long after that evening, they went to dinner after work. Jack had changed as usual. Into those same blue jeans and blue oxford he’s put on that first night.

“Want to grab some dinner?” he asked. “Nothing has to come of it. Just friends and co-workers having diner.”

“I think I’m a little overdressed,” she said.

“It’s not a problem if you want to go home and change,” he replied.

“Well…” she thought for a moment. “Alright.”

They never made it out to dinner. Pizza and sodas were ordered.

And Claire could never see blue jeans and a blue oxford the same way ever again.
